Good light housing, seems to be sealed quite well. The bezel is a twist on twist off style. The packaging says 304 stainless steel but it does react to a magnet. So, I question the life span of the bezels. Ordered three of these and one came mislabeled. The LED color was different. Bad thing is I found this out after installing and going out in the cockpit that night to admire my handy work. Had to do a return and take everything apart again.
Note also the bezel does not sit flush against the surface so light can escape from around the outer circumference of the bezel. Looks kinda cheap because it doesn't do this evenly. Once I get my replacement installed and everything looks good, I'll probably use some caulk on the ring backside to seal the light in. God help me if I ever need to take them out again.
In closing, the lights seem okay but aren't of HELLA quality in my opinion. You may want to look around a little more before buying these.
Update: Unfortunately, I had to trash them. The bezels started pitting and the light output was sub par. Upgraded to G-lux. Aluminum housing IP68 easy connectors and tons for light. Plus, they change color and have a remote. At only $30 more a piece, I haven't looked back. Mike from the Lifesaport live-aboard blog
